Owners

The Owners section allows administrators to specify an email address—whether a shared mailbox, a specific user, or a distribution group—to receive notifications when a SharePoint site without an owner is detected.

info

EasyLife 365 policies will not be processed for ownerless SharePoint sites. Ensure that administrators assign at least one owner to every SharePoint site.

Minimum Owner Policy

The Minimum Owner Policy ensures that each SharePoint site has a specified number of site-administrators. If a site has fewer site-administrators than required by the policy, the existing site-administrators will be notified and prompted to add additional site-administrators. You can configure the number of reminders to be sent and define the actions to be taken if site-administrators do not respond within the desired timeframe.

Policy Details

Additionally, you can specify the action to be taken if site-administrators fail to respond, such as whether the non-compliant SharePoint site should be deleted or left unchanged.

info

The Create wizard in the EasyLife 365 Collaboration App ensures that users add the minimum required number of site-administrators when provisioning a new SharePoint site.

Maximum Owner Policy

The Maximum Owner Policy ensures that a resource do not exceed a specified number of site-administrators. If a resource with too many site-administrators than specified in the policy is found, the existing site-administrators will be notified and asked to remove site-administrators to the resource. You can specify how many reminders should be sent and what actions should be taken if site-administrators do not respond within the desired time frame.

This policy enforces an escalation process for "Limit Owners." It automatically includes all current site-administrators, removes those with disabled accounts, and randomly retains a specified number of site-administrators. The remaining site-administrators will be demoted to members.

info

The Create Wizard in the EasyLife 365 Collaboration App ensures users cannot exceed the specified limit of site-administrators when provisioning a new resource.
