How to Bulk Import Distribution List Members Using CSV
EasyLife 365 Mail simplifies the process of adding users as members to distribution lists by providing a feature that allows the import of members in bulk using a CSV file. The Bulk Import feature enables you to add multiple users efficiently while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
How to Create a Distribution List with Bulk Import
Follow these steps to create a distribution list and use the Bulk Import Icon
to add members and owners efficiently:
Steps to Create a Distribution List
- In the EasyLife 365 Mail App, click
Create
from the main menu. - Scroll to the
Distribution Lists
section. - Select a template from the available list of templates. This will take you to the distribution list creation wizard.
- Fill in the required fields with memorable values, as you'll need to refer back to this distribution list.
- Click
Next
to proceed to theMembers and Owners
step. - On the
Members and Owners
page, click theBulk Import Icon
, which will launch the bulk import popup. - Click the
sample csv file
link to download a sample file and add your desired members and owners to the file, following the provided format. - To upload the CSV file, drag and drop your completed file into the upload area or use the file browser to select it.
- The system will validate the uploaded data, and successfully imported members and owners will appear in the
Members/Owners Table
below.- You can also change the role of imported users from "Member" to "Owner" using the dropdown next to their username.
- If any errors are detected (e.g., duplicate entries or invalid users), fix them and re-upload the file.

How to Edit Distribution List Members Using Bulk Import
The Bulk Import Icon
in the details mask allows you to efficiently update the members and owners of a distribution list. Follow these steps to use the feature:

Team
tab under the selected distribution list details. - In the
Members
section, clickEdit
, and in the member edit screen, find theBulk Import Icon
next to the user search input. - Click the

- Guest Restrictions: Entries not allowed by the template are identified as errors.

To ensure a smooth import process:
- Begin with a small test import to validate your CSV format.
- Ensure that templates are configured correctly to permit or restrict guest accounts in the import. By default, all distribution list templates disallow guest accounts as members of a distribution list.
