Notifications
To help ensure a timely response to expiring credentials, EasyLife 365 Identity Insiders proactively sends alerts as expiration dates approach.
Every Monday, EasyLife 365 Identity Insiders conducts a weekly scan to identify upcoming expirations and delivers a single warning per app via Microsoft Teams and/or email. Each notification includes a direct link to the relevant app page, making it quick and easy to review and take action.
You can customize your notification preferences, including Teams alerts, under Notification Settings.
With the Premium plan and higher, you can customize your notification strategy to fit your needs.
Credential Expiration Notification Logic
When a secret or certificate is nearing expiration, notifications are sent based on the following priority order:
-
Task Assignee If a specific task is associated with the credential, the assigned individual receives the notification.
-
App Sponsor and Owner If no task is assigned, the system checks for:
- App Sponsor: If an app sponsor is defined and has the necessary permissions to manage certificate and secret changes, they will receive the notification.
- App Owner: If one or more app owners are identified, they will be notified as well.
-
Shared Mailbox If no task assignee, eligible sponsor, or owner is available, the notification is sent to the shared mailbox configured during onboarding.
If Microsoft Teams notifications are enabled, alerts are sent via Teams by default. If dual notification is enabled, both Teams and email alerts are delivered. Only one notification per app is sent to prevent redundant alerts.
The Freemium plan is limited to default notifications sent to a shared mailbox only.
