Bald Eagle

  • Available on Insiders

EasyLife 365 Mail now gives admins and resource owners precise control over who can send emails to mailboxes and distribution lists. These new controls enhance security for sensitive communications and minimize unnecessary email traffic.

What’s new?

1. Sender Restrictions for Mailboxes & Distribution Lists

Admins and owners can now define exactly who is allowed to send emails. You can now:

  • Allow only specific users.
  • Allow only members of selected distribution lists. This helps prevent unwanted or irrelevant messages from reaching key mailboxes like HR, Finance, or executive groups.

2. Template Controls in EasyLife Admin

Sender permission settings are now built into mailbox and distribution list templates, giving admins control over who can send messages right from the start.

  • Admins can enable or disable sender restriction options in templates.
  • If enabled, owners can define allowed senders while creating or editing a mailbox or distribution list.

How these updates will affect you

  • Protect critical mailboxes and distribution lists from unwanted or accidental messages.
  • Allow admins and owners to tailor sender permissions to fit specific communication needs.
  • Strengthen governance and reduce noise in company-wide or sensitive email channels.
  • Simplify provisioning by including sender permissions directly into the setup process.
